About Atlanta Films
Atlanta Films is a free resource
for Atlanta filmmakers, actors and screenwriters. Our goal is to assist the Atlanta
filmmaking community by providing a central location where local media artist can network,
promote their projects, and find assistance.
In the late 1980's Atlanta Films was just a section on a local Atlanta electronic BBS
system listing places and dates where the public could view non-mainstream movies. As the
Internet developed Atlanta Films evolved into an electronic newsletter going out to
Atlanta movie enthusiasts via email. Today AtlantaFilms.com is Georgia's largest
filmmaking site receiving more internet traffic than any other filmmaking, acting, or
screenwriting website in the state according to Alexa Research Corporation.
There are many areas of this website but the Atlanta Films chat forum is the most popular. Filmmakers,
screenwriters, actors, and crew members from all over Atlanta meet to discuss a wide
variety of topics.
The Atlanta Films Calendar contains up-to-date film and video events in the Atlanta area.
Anyone is free to post a film or video event. Once the calendar event has been reviewed it
will be added to the calendar. If your organization consistently needs to add events, please contact
Atlanta Films and we can provide your organization with a unique username and password
allowing you to add and edit your events on the Atlanta Films Calendar.
